Barbara’s lucky trip - The day with Master
Barbara is our friend from Poland, who was our Supervisor in the Carrot Farm in Australia. She is also a devout Catholic. In April this year, unexpectedly, she was invited to a wedding by the couple we worked with. We were her trip organizer. Although, most of people she knew. Did not have time to meet with her on workdays, it made us a bit worried how can we arrange her schedule. Luckily….A great invitation came from Lili (our Buddhist colleague) who invited us to visit 101 observatory and climb up Xianshan Mt. This reminded me that with my husband went to 101 last year and it was a long waiting line, about hundred people. This time was different, because we went with our Master. Even we chose to go on weekend and it was crowded, everything went easy and well.
We were so lucky! Because of you we could take photo with Master. Thank you Barbara. Otherwise it would be only you and Master on the photo.
After visiting the 101 Observatory, everyone was enjoying lunch at Teppanyaki restaurant. At that moment, Barbara was very curious about Master. She felt Master is very unusual men. We tried to let her know how great person he is. We shared how Master has taught us to make our life better. Barbara said, in her country no one is called “Master”, they have “Priest”.
After lunch, everyone was leaving for climbing up Xianshan Mt., while bridegroom’s sister was coming to pick Barbara up to join the wedding party. Master and other people were waiting with her patiently. Even though, she didn’t want to waste our time to climb up. Master said to others: it will be cooler if we will go little later. During the waiting time, Master spoke to Barbara about her personality, he said to her that she is over thinking person. She agreed. Maybe since she come back to Poland, the current life situation needs to be faced.
In Barbara's itinerary, I was a bit worried how to organize her time, when we will go down to Kaohsiung on 14th and 15th of April. The most important thing was, that both of us had an appointment with Master, the other thing was to join the Fastener Show. We had tried to scheduled her a trip to "Sun Moon Lake"(a world famous spot), or have someone who can meet with her in Kaohsiung for 2days. Honestly, we did hope Barbara wouldn’t miss some great scenic spots in our land. Surprisingly, she wasn’t mind to participate with our exhibition trip. Because of it she would consider this industry for her future business. For sure she was destined to meet Master, unfortunately our limited English did not help, she really wanted ask Master a lots of questions of her unknown life.
Sister Barbara, we can only say: you are really supper lucky. We had opportunity to invite Master and our Buddha colleague Yan to the southeast, Pingtung. Where Master used to live, at Fangliao Art village. He told us about the day that he was riding a motorcycle more than an hour just to go to Kaohsiung for a Buddha lesson, he had never miss it even when was terrible weather - “Typhoon” .We admire that a person can do what he says, the continuous perseverance, I should imitate the essence. Seeding plant studded in field
See the sky inside of water
Make clean mind in way
Realized backward is forward.
He advised her not to be too concerned about the faults of others, but let our SIX: eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind, not to be influenced by external world, from time to time to keep purity mind and release from irritation. That is the way, to keep doing it. Sometimes, compromise is not entirely negative, but in the end it becomes a positive. When dealing with people, do not care about the arguing so much, for a brighter future is better to step back. For example clapping hands simultaneously it will make the loud sound, but only one hand pat in to air would not make any sound. Meaning: it takes two to dance tango. Master had known Barbara from the beginning, she is an impatient person, sometimes arguing with her husband about different ideas, Master also points to some of her personality which we really did not expect.
This was my 2nd time visiting Pingtung with Master and Yan. The sky looks so different, it was cool, with slight drizzle, cozy and nice, not quite like the usual typical southern hot climate. (At the fire Scenic)
At the Southeast, it’s always very windy
We had gain a lot, we were eating dinner at ”Jia-Jane Seafood restaurant ”. The most famous seafood restaurant at small town of “Donggan”. The trip was worthwhile.
We had other guests Artiest Zhuang Jia-Sheng and his wife, they came to meet with Master.
After delicious cuisine, we took Barbara to the most famous temple which enshrines ‘’Wen Fu Chitose”God, the magnificent arch, worth about eight million NTD. Barbara entered into the temple for throwing divination for her lucky number, unfortunately the temple staff said she did the divination in the wrong way, and because of this, she decided to give up, and said disappointedly: maybe I have no luck this time. While she put back the divination sticker, Master said: Chitose God now is in the presence, does she need me to translate? We were very surprised! Barbara was very unbelievable. Chitose God was exactly right there and talk about her situation through Master, Barbara couldn’t deny the current situation of her is very appropriate, Master guided her in that conversation between the God and her. Unfortunately our limited English make it hard to translate. We do hope she could understand. Before returning to Kaohsiung, we stopped in one more place "Yu Wen house" where the artist Mr. Zhuang, Jia-Sheng and his wife lives, she is an enthusiastic social worker and often participated in a number of environmental activities, but the society today are hardly promoting this topic. Perhaps there are other reasons, however, Master treated her with Divine Song (Yuan He sound of nature). Barbara finally heard Master’s great and original vocal. At the end, we were leaving for Taipei at nearly 11pm. A lot of appreciation, I got an exquisite set of paintings "Buddha Card" from Artist Mr. Zhuang. The most grateful thing was that Master and 'Yan had spend whole day with us from 2pm till 10pm. Master did not know Barbara but he treated her like us. Just before we left Kaoshiung, Barbara said to Master: I think they are very lucky, because they have a people like you (Master).
When back to Taipei, she was surprised and delighted to share with us the great news from Poland. They’ve got the building permit for their new house. Mostly it takes about half year to get it, but they only waited for 3 months… quicker than they expected.
To have everything to go smoothly you need to release stress and keep clean mind, soak in positive energy from everywhere and put down your worries. This is Master’s blessing for Barbara.

芭芭拉的幸運之旅 - 師父同在篇
芭芭拉是一位來自波蘭的朋友，是末學夫婦倆在澳洲打工時的上司，也是位虔誠的天主教徒。在四月份時，因緣際會下來台灣參加一場婚禮也順道展開她的15天旅程，當時末學倆是代為統整芭芭拉的行程者，在她來之前的行程安排都還算順利，即便很多人因上班之故，無法抽空陪她，在安排行程的過程中，幾度有點苦惱，不知可以怎麼安排較妥當，好讓她有個難忘的台灣之旅。也很巧妙的，4/12號當天有個機會，幾位同參安排與 師父上人作一趟「向上之旅」，行程包括著名的臺北101與象山，真是好一個「101+象山」的向上之旅。末學能借此機會安排她參與外國人來台必去景點之一，實在太幸運了，相當感謝莉莉師姊的邀約...
